A mix tape made by Andy Roberts for Jenni Scott
"Andy did me this tape after Velvet Goldmine came out. I was too young for Glam as a movement first time round, and had been mesmerised by the style of the film as well as the music. While Andy had done me loads of punk tapes (UK punk, US punk, new wave, etc etc) he'd never thought of glam as a tape theme (even though he spoke very approvingly of the brickies-wearing-mascara atmosphere of the whole thing). All I can say is, hot damn! I'd never heard T Rex properly before this tape, let alone Eno and even Bowie.
My favourite track is still Roxy Music's Do The Strand, though."
