No content with my chorus role in Othello (about which I really must blog soon) I’ve gone and landed myself a role in this years Twitpanto.
I think the story is still under wraps so I can’t tell you who I’ll be playing but it all kicks off on December 18th at 3pm. Follow @twitpanto to keep in the loop.
It’s organised by Jon Bounds who wrote a nice piece about last year’s effort. The nice thing about Twitpanto is it doesn’t fight against the chaos of the social net – it embraces it just as pantomimes do. In fact it’s probably closer to the theatre of Shakespeare’s day than the reverential silence of now.
Okay, I guess I can give something away. I have a singing role. How that’ll work on Twitter is anyone’s guess.
Singing is easy, simply tweet a link to a song that’s been blipped, or maybe an available tune on YouTube. Everything is out there…. Have fun with it!!!
