Russian Lols

Recently I unsubscribed from I Can Has Cheezburger. The standard of lol there has, in my view, decreased of late with amusing and clever lolspeak being replaced by what can only be described as a greetings cards standard. One can cast blame as one wishes and I chose to blame the ICanHas community, who vote these things to the blog, for being taken over by simpering idiots. But simpering idiots can has cat pictures too so I wish them well. The fools.

This leaves me in need of lol. Sure, I’ve got teh memoreez but fresh kittehs are required. Thank heavens, then, for the Russians.

Kotomartix.ru has loads of pictures of cats captioned in what I assume to be the Russian language. Check this baby out:

Hilarious, no? Well, what about this?

Okay, something might be getting lost in translation, I grant you. So what we need, then, is a translation. Lets say a blog that takes these new-found gems and slots the English underneath, That’d be useful.

Ladies and gentlemen, might I introduce you to The Яolcats

Look, you’ve gotta take what you can get, okay?

In other lol news, Joel Rathergood has joined the party just in time with his Lolcats song. It’s, well, it’s rather good akshuly and should be played at full volume outside the homes of those who think this sort of shit is acceptable behaviour for a lol-site. Sigh…
