Grazing through CC Chapman’s blog my eye was drawn to this picture of his desk, specifically the right hand side.
A person’s desk is always fascinating, partly because of the little adaptations they make in what’s generally a controlled environment. This idea of having a hook to hang your headphones and other cables on had never occurred to me. I have piles of wires on my desk. I think I’ll be investing in a couple when I get back.
Any other combinations of office supplies and bathroom fittings in use out there?
*laugh* Glad you enjoyed this. It is a simple $1 3M sticky hook that can go anywhere. I hated always having to move my headphones off the desk so I put this up to get them out of the way. Works perfectly!
I used to have three plastic bathroom hooks on the side of my desk where I would hang various cables and a set of headphones too – it was mostly all music related, and they’d always be in reach.
He also does what I do, despite post it note widgets available, I still use real one and stick them in the same place, can’t beat a bit of pen and paper sometimes.
I have a box of tissues on MY desk!!!!!!!!! rofl

In my last job, I stuck one of those sticky hooks on the side of my big old yellowing CRT monitor to hold my headset, so whoever took over my job probably inherited it.
Could really do with one now, but got two flatscreens and no handy wallspace. My headset and headphones are constantly getting tangled round stuff, will have to see what I can come up with :)
I was trying to tidy my studio this morning and as usual the head phones were the bug bear. I can be quoted as saying ‘ These head phones are not well designed ‘ (out loud in a frustrated way) so I quickly envisioned folding head phones – a hook is a better idea – I shall run out and get one today..
I thought you were posting how he wasted his money on a pair of Bose headphones. *sigh*
My pair of Sennheiser headphones came with a nice hook. :)
It can clamp onto anything, currently on my hi-fi rack.
