I processed my photos from Supersonic 2008 a while back but never mentioned it on the blog, which was daft of me.
Here’s a big grid of them with a colourful treatment which I’m planning to turn into a 30″x20″ poster to be sold by Capsule.
For the individual photos I settled on a sepia-style treatment, mainly because the lighting was all over the place and I wanted some kind of uniformity across the set. And what a set it is, covering 3 days and I don’t know how many acts.
I actually had a photo pass for this, which was highly entertaining as I was swinging the TTV machine, often with a flash-gun mounted on the top which makes it look even more absurd, right at the front and often right under the performers. That was a lot of fun and much better than shooting with a normal camera, especially as there was plenty of that going on.
There are 140 photos in the set so picking faves is hard but here’s the obligatory three that I like.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Great pictures Pete. I’ve seen shot’s you’ve done with your viewfinder camera contraption before and love how you’re able to get a real filmic/cine feel from digital photos…
Some real gem’s in the collection…
Also the fact I made the grid is a nice surprise!!
Really like the one with the guy with the hair!
Wonderful photos Pete, gives me a chance to see what went on from in front of the scenes as it were. Well done.
I’ve always thought that TTV pics would be good for building type so I had a go with these ones, see what you think -
