After a great start made them the Web 2.0 poster children Flickr became a bit reticent to make putting photos uploaded there on other sites easier, probably because of the stupid idiots who bitched about people “stealing” stuff they’d put on a website that was all about sharing, but what can you do about that other than ignore them?
Things seem to be changing though. Embed codes are available on each page (assuming the user hasn’t switched them off forcing you to hack one) and they recently redid the slideshows making them embed friendly. Here’s my Supersonic photos:
Nice!
Ta to Jo for the heads up.

I do find the “take down my picture” types bizarre.
I run a dance-related blog where I sometimes publish the best pics I find from Flickr related to that dance. And regular as clockwork, someone will e-mail me to complain about me having done so, even though all the links are intact, they’ve left the “blog this” option on, and the picture, and the ones about it, have many. many times the views of the others in their stream.
Maybe they want to share it, but not actually have people see it? :-)
nice feature… thanks for pointing it out.
i like the way it fits perfectly into blogspot layouts: http://eight8all.blogspot.com/2008/08/now-blogging-in-full-color.html
