This is interesting. I am in the middle of a 30 day trial with Aperture 2.1 and I have to say, as a Lightroom 1.2 user, I think Aperture has the edge. Now Lightroom 2.0 comes along to mess around with my head!
I see that review suggests Photoshop is basically obsolete. Not really sure about that, which is why I “struggle” on with Photoshop 7 running under 10.4.
Lightroom 2 is fantastic, especially the local adjustments brush and the wonderful grad filters, whether it replaces photoshop is another question. My big wish is that all the old photoshop plugins would just slot effortlessly into Lightroom, I still end up exporting into PS if I need to use Black and White Pro…
