This is the personal blog and main internet hub-thing for Pete Ashton. What you'll find here is a seemingly random collection of stuff I want to talk about and share. If you want to know where I'm coming from you'd do worse that check the about page.

Dave Harte's 4IP notes – A summary of the launch of Channel 4's new public service investment fund. Very interesting.

I think they were calling at a ‘Pre-launch briefing’ with the actual launch happening in autumn.
Thanks Stef – I was just about to write that too! See mt comment to Pete’s add below
Thks for linking through to Dave’s report here, Pete. One note of correction for all your good readers, though …. finding 50% of the funding for projects yourself is not a requirement of the fund. But if you can bring other funding to the table then so much the better.
Wasn’t it also launched at 2gether08. No complaints mind. It’s good to share it.
4ip has been mentioned heavily at 2Gether08 and B:tween but neither constituted official launches – this won’t happen until the Autumn. Having been at both, I can honestly say our own pre-launch briefing was the clearest outline yet of what 4ip is all about and how it will work, (yay us!) … but it still wasn’t a launch – more of a test flight really. Just wanted to give folks a first look, heads up and – above all – a head start.
