As you may have heard, everyone favourite bunch of evil whacko control-freak fantasists The “Church” of Scientology have bought a big building in Moseley, Birmingham for £4.25m which will be their second largest HQ after East Grinstead. I live in Moseley so this will be about a mile away from me. Which is, y’know, nice. Still, when the enemy is in your back yard it does tend to focus the mind.
More seriously, Moseley has it’s fair share of hospitals and shelters for somewhat damaged members of society so having these vultures setting up camp is cause for concern.
Thankfully Birmingham has it’s own chapter of Anonymous, the internet-based campaigning group raising awareness of it’s activities, and I suspect they’ll be getting bigger. I’m not the sort of person who joins stuff as a rule but if you are might I direct you to Birmingham Anonymous and this thread on their forums. (Although I don’t like the use of the term “Scifags”. Leave that shit at the door people.)
