I think it's about any of those but something much more basic, a teenage tantrum projected onto a grand scale. "nobody wants him he just stares at the world planing his vengance that he will soon unfurl". Then they'll be sorry! The awkward, lumbering Iron Man... possessing a great power you can barely control... seems a perfect metaphor for adolesence. Mark definitely knows his music trivia though.
