Lino’ed

Last summer I took this photo of the audience at Supersonic.

Watching Mogwai

Chris Murtagh asked if he could turn it into a lino cut and I said yes before completely forgetting about it. Today he informed me of the finished piece.

Let this be a teeny little lesson as to the benefits of putting your work online and letting people mess with it.

Brilliant reinterpretation of the original. Linocutting needs to be given more recognition as a personal and flexible tool for hand-rendered printmaking.

This piece is a great example of accidental collaboration by Pete and Chris.

    More, please :)
