Doesn’t that mean that MS already have a higher market share than the scumbags at Yahoo, at least in the market that is searching for Birmingham blogs?
it just shows how stupid these dinosaurs are – instead of trying to be google they should concentrate on something else entirely and pour all their efforts into being the best at that. As far as i can see both microsoft and yahoo have been trying to be the *whole* internet in the one place – (old style AOL effectively) – but have ended up being very mediocre at everything they try. It’s simply because they spread themselves too thin doing that.
Google have around 75% of the search traffic so the others certainly need to do something. Ask have an interesting take on search results with their ‘preview window’ idea but its not enough for me to change SE.
Saul (at work) was saying that Yahoo has a bigger market shar out of the western world – and if that’s the case – there’s something in that for long term in emerging markets
also the way people use Google, as apposed to Yahoo is different – fleeting general searches or ‘googling the answer’

Actually, it’s the market that is searching for graffiti on Birmingham blogs. A good quarter of the search traffic is after graf at the moment.
I have no idea how valuable that demographic is.
