If you put me on the spot I’d say the future was in micro-festivals. The big festivals just aren’t worth it. Niche is the future and small is lovely.
If you put me on another spot I’d have to admit to being wary of the term “indie”. It’s a broad church and many of the parishes are deathly dull. But I am, at heart, an indie kid of the John Peel variety and on close inspection I think this festival is right up my alley.
Last year’s lineup featured a few names I know and like (Bearsuit, MJ Hibbert, Pete Green) and a whole swathe I’ve never heard of (which is how I like my festivals) and comes recommended by Dunc, an aficionado of indie in the cuddly fun sense, not indie in the posturing wank sense.
And get this. Some of the bands play on trains! And there are farm animals!
I’m so there.

Good decision Pete. Last year’s was the best fun *ever!*
2nded. I’ve already got my ticket for this year, and the lineup is already looking STUPIDLY ACE.
