I got some badges made for SXSW, just on a whim. Figured it’d be nice to have some schwag to hand out. They came in the post today.

I popped one on my jacket and was struck, struck I tell you, by how it suddenly became a statement. Literally a badge, which is not too surprising since it is a badge. But still. I think of “Created in Birmingham” as a blog, obviously. It’s a thing, not an attitude. Badges in their correct context really are quite powerful things when you think about it.
So I reckon there’s a little market for this. Here’s some other ideas:
I Create in Birmingham (handy for me as, conception wise, I was created in Walton on Thames)
Made in Birmingham
I Create Birmingham (from Jez)
Creative in Birmingham (from nunovo)
Birmingham Creative (from Smithylad and tweaked a bit)
Created by Birmingham (from Hg)
Brum Creatatum (from Focalplane)
I’m sure there are others. Suggestions in the comments please!
Badges were made and delivered in good time by Badges for Bands who come recommended by both myself and Jonny BiNS
“I’m Brummagemware” (though not exactly what you’re looking for as the word used to have a rather negative context)
You missed
‘creatIve in Birmingham’
and monstrous variants like
B creatI’ved irmingham
How could you?

I write the songs that make the whole of Birmingham sing.

Grammar Behind Incite
An anagram of Created in Birmingham – because the blog is just that: the grammar behind the incitement to big up and blab about the Birmingham creatives!
Those badges are excellent. Particularly for those of us literally ‘Created in Birmingham’ (circa late 1967 in my case).
Some’Created in Birmingham’ t-shirts would be cool to hand out at SXSW as well I reckon??

How about a subtle remix of the original: Created by Birmingham?
For those who take a more spiritual view: Creator in Birmingham.
For those who love their German grammar: In Birmingham Created.
Although more Black Country than Birmingham (but we’re all one big happy family right?) how about
“I create in Birmingham…therefore I yam”
“City Region Serf”?
