Flicking through the copy of Charlie Brooker’s Dawn of the Dumb, a collection of his articles from the Guardian, which arrived yesterday I come to the conclusion that it’s a toilet book, the contents perfectly bitesized to accompany a bowel movement. But looking around my relatively tiny bathroom I’m struggling to find somewhere to put it. The shelf might work except it gets a little damp up there from the shower. Eventually I slot it between the haf-empty package of toilet rolls and the bottle of bleach. I suspect Charlie would, if not approve, understand.

About this site
In June 2000 I started blogging at peteashton.com and 10 years later in June 2010 I decided to stop. Blogging here, that is. I started a clean slate over on I Am Pete Ashton and maintain all manner of other web presences which are all listed here along with my contact details.
You probably came here via a Google search or from following a link on some old blog post somewhere. I hope what you find is useful in some way, though do check the publication date - it might be rather old now.
Thanks for your eyeballs.

I read the collection before this in two days and I would say that it affected my brain a bit. My problem is, I don’t like to read his columns as they appear because I like to form my conclusions about a TV programme first so I had no choice. I always watch his TV show though.
