About this site
In June 2000 I started blogging at peteashton.com and 10 years later in June 2010 I decided to stop. Blogging here, that is. I started a clean slate over on I Am Pete Ashton and maintain all manner of other web presences which are all listed here along with my contact details.
You probably came here via a Google search or from following a link on some old blog post somewhere. I hope what you find is useful in some way, though do check the publication date - it might be rather old now.
Thanks for your eyeballs.

loving it.
A big nostalgia rush!!! Remember that IIfx we had for a while back in the early 90s?
I am also reminded of visiting Apple’s regional office in Houston for a MUG meeting and the secretary took a business card, scanned it into a Mac Plus and printed off a visitor’s badge, having made a hypercard stack. At that meeting an Apple guru from Cupertino said he watched CNN reports from the first Gulf war in a small window on his Mac while working on a project. We sat in awe!
It’s brilliant :)
Ah maaaaan. Needs more Chicago.
Makes me want to bust out my childhood hypercard animations.
Y’know, I’m really liking this. I might look at tweaking it so it’s less Mac but keeps the stark b/w old school feel.
You may or may not wish to be informed that I can’t see the comments against the background in IE7. I have to highlight them with the mouse so that they glow blue before they’re legible.
Would it be possible to run two versions simultaneously? It seems to shame to no longer have the retro option.
Um.. Maybe. I think it’d involve a fair bit of work though…
