MySpace co-founder suing MySpace for censorship of competitors. What’s amusing about this, beyond the obvious, is that NewsCorp can only lose here. If they don’t block mentions of other services then they won’t get their desired monopoly but if they do then their users will just fuck off to another service that doesn’t try to dictate what they can or can’t do. Classic case of “old media” companies just not getting how this shit works. Personally I hope they carry on as they are and completely fuck it up. It’s the only way they’ll learn. (via)
