This is an experiment. I’m pleased with it but there’s a lot more to do before I’m completely happy with the technique.
The 16 photos that make up the montage were taken with this home made lens which, for those home made lens fans out there, comprises of the bubbleglass from a Duaflex mounted on a Pringles tube with a +4 filter (allowing firm attachment to the actual camera lens) at one end and the Duaflex’s focusing lens at the other (mounted on the top of a plastic coke bottle). Actually, it’s just this stuck on a tube.
Essentially this gives a TTV-esque result with the added bonus of being able to control the amount of warping in the image by changing the aperture (and I have no idea why this is!) as well as being much more portable that the TTV. Unfortunately it looks like a giant dildo, but them’s the breaks.
I was never really that happy with the single Bubblebottle photos – they were kinda interesting but didn’t really make for good photos on the whole. These montages, on the other hand, you can expect more of!

Fantasmical!!!!!
(so good, I had to make up a new word for it, you should be privileged!)
