Nice photo, looking forward to the rest later today. Seeing the heavy frost seemed strange after being in Calgary for a few weeks of below freezing weather. The climate here is generally very dry so there is no frost on the ground early in the morning. Sometimes snow, but not frost. There's nothing quite like a really heavy hoar frost on trees and shrubs.

Little bit frosty yesterday, but more so today.

It really was lovely out this morning. At 6, it's still properly dark, with a bit fat Moon lighting the front. By 6:30, there's a weak orange in the east, fading quickly through pale green to watery blue, then up over your head to night purple. Turn around, and it's still nighttime with the Moon still high in the sky and the brighter stars twinkling. Gradually, gradually, the orange strengthens, but you have to be paying attention to notice it happening.

By about 7:15, it's all over. The Sun's still not quite up, but it's bright and the sky is blue. It's day time.
