Having had no problems taking photos for most of this year, I’ve found myself with something of a block since getting to Birmingham. Initially I didn’t even carry the camera with me and then when I did I was never that happy with the actual shots. So I’ve done a clear out of the last two months and picked out 11 shots I kinda like regardless of how good I think they are.

Taken at 3.00am last weekend walking home. This side of Birmingham I’m living in has a level of grottiness I’m not that familiar with, and remember I’ve lived in central London. Something dated in the grot which I suspect I’ll be investigating with the camera over time.

Speaking of grot, this was my office for most of November. I no longer work there.

Macy the cat has a thing for this USB cable and I think I understand why. Very snake-like.

A gig at the Sunflower a couple of weeks back. Obviously I was trying to get a shot of the band but I like how these two guys came out.

Nice shot of the band (it was very smokey hence the haze). This has my mate Mr Green watching his flatmate on base, which is nice.

To get the 900 bus home from my (old) job I crossed a footbridge over the Coventry Road. This is the oncoming traffic on a foggy night.

From the same footbridge in the same fog looking towards the airport and the Holiday Inn.

Lamp posts.

Covers band at a nearby pub. No flash hence the colour.

Foggy day at the airport.

Still at the airport, this was where I smoked. It’s the only outdoors place where smoking is allowed due to the air fuel about the place. The indoors alternative made even my eyes water.
