John’s Switch to Canada

I’ve been ignoring those Switch add parodies because, even though I’m a Mac user, I don’t like adds. But this one is worthy of note. It’s by an American guy who moved to Canada and realised it was much better than living in the US. Interesting having watched Bowling for Colombine. (direct link to movie). (via Axis of AEvil).

    Hi.
I enjoyed very much the John-switch movie.
I live in southamerica and I’d like to translate the movie to spanish.I listened to the movie several times and so far have the following transcription:

I was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1975
I’ve moved to Canada in 1996
    People are very nice here
    very generous, very compassionate
    I’ve met my wife here
    and she’s wonderful
Canada was voted the #1 country in which to live
by the United Nations for seven years in a row
    Canada’s money doesn’t stink
US money green stuff, it..it stinks
    I mean, literally, smells
I don’t know what it is
it’s like the material is designed to absorb sweat
my credit history? wiped, clean slate
Patriotism is the [ blank ]hypno of the american public
you don’t need the government to be telling you:
“Oh if you’re against us then you’re anti-american”
No, the american public is doing it just fine
    George Bush is a monkey!
on many ocassions I’ve heard someone say:
if you don’t love the United States of America then
    get the hell out
    I did
    I’d never go back
I like Canada way too much
my name is John and I’m a Canadian

If someone would like to complete/correct my transcription I would be happy to include him/her in the movie’s comments.

    Thank you very much.
