AintNoBadDude is Brian’s weblog, and Brian was the chap at Xmas dinner yesterday. He said he was one of the first post-Sept 11th warbloggers before that term became one of abuse, as well as one of the few left-ist ones at the time, and he’s an interesting chap with multifaceted interests. It was interesting talking to someone who uses the same medium but in a completely different sphere – there were very few blogs we both knew about. I think Samizdata was the only one and that was just because I’d submitted stripblog to their glossary. So no real “blogcircles” there.

About this site
In June 2000 I started blogging at peteashton.com and 10 years later in June 2010 I decided to stop. Blogging here, that is. I started a clean slate over on I Am Pete Ashton and maintain all manner of other web presences which are all listed here along with my contact details.
You probably came here via a Google search or from following a link on some old blog post somewhere. I hope what you find is useful in some way, though do check the publication date - it might be rather old now.
Thanks for your eyeballs.
Pete Ashton
Dood, he’s friends with Kinky Friedman!
Also, it’s curious to read an American’s thoughts of London whilst I’m in Boston.
Something of a renaisance dude all round it seems. He’s something of a Jazz expert too, holding his own abou Chet Baker with Graham. We should get him alonng to a blog meet of sorts sometime.
Actually, I tell a lie – we both knew Doc Searls as well, but whereas I’d just read his blog for a couple of years, Brian had met him loads of times.
