Having grown up with Hip Hop culture I’ve had a problem that’s occured with old age – and thats Graf. Sure, it’s the art of the Hip Hop culture but when you’re older and somebody does it to the side of your house/car/property – you freak :) You think back and a few years ago you might have been doing it or at least enjoying looking at it! The pics you have are a great progression in style that I’ve noticed of late – not the mindless tagging or cliched images I’m used to. It’s like recent comic book covers – for years covers were the same when you walked in the comic shop – the same layout and colours – now when I walk in I notice covers like those by Kaare Andrews on The Hulk and the covers to Grant Morrison’s Filth comic. I’m rambling now :) …….
What I like is how some of the other bankside graffitti-ers have now got neato little tags which can be handily integrated into Banksy’s sharp-edged work. I was on Bankside last Sunday, and we found a bunch of Japanese kids decorating the glass edges of the millennium bridge with photos. That’s not developed yet, but here’s some Banksy of my very own. Woo woo, Queen Vic!
In June 2000 I started blogging at peteashton.com and 10 years later in June 2010 I decided to stop. Blogging here, that is. I started a clean slate over on I Am Pete Ashton and maintain all manner of other web presences which are all listed here along with my contact details.
You probably came here via a Google search or from following a link on some old blog post somewhere. I hope what you find is useful in some way, though do check the publication date - it might be rather old now.

Jeremy,
Thanks for the link – I really like this Banksy chap. Sent off for his two books – at £4 each they’re a steal.
